The Nest Thermostat is a 24V thermostat that is compatible with various heating and cooling systems. It is controlled by using the Google Home app and works with Google Home. The thermostat does not work with the Nest Temperature Sensor but can connect to and control smart devices that support Zigbee and Z-wave protocols. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a lock feature. The installation process is easy, but it does not function well and disconnected frequently, causing issues with resetting passwords. It will work intermittently for a short time before malfunctioning permanently.
