The Hoage quick release clamp adapter is a versatile adapter for photographers who would like to have the best of both worlds when it comes to quick release plates. The adapter comes with an arca-swiss clamp fused to the plate, which means one less clamp in a tripod/fluid head setup. This lack of a lock pin on the fuse arca mount has its downside, but it's an acceptable compromise. The product's quality is good, but it is short for use on Manfrotto friction clamp fluid heads. If you are attaching a Manfrotto plate for nodal rail, get a longer Hoage plate. The Arca style plate is rotatable to the correct orientation on the body, and an L-bracket can be used too. It works great with a Manfrotto MHXPRO-3W 3-way head and Manfrotto MHXPRO-BHQ2 ball head, and it is usable with other Manfrotto systems.
