The Swissmar Borner V-1001 V-Slicer Mandoline 5 Piece Set is a hand-held mandoline that is made in Germany, very sharp and is able to easily slice raw beets and onions. It has adjustable thickness to get thin or thick slices. The hand guard may not work for people with small hands but they can use No Cry gloves as a protective measure. This model does not come with a stand and there is no box designed to collect the sliced goods. The V-1001 model and V3 model are the same, only distributed by different sellers.
