This sewing machine comes brand new in separate boxes, which need assembly. It can be used for vinyl upholstery and cork, but a teflon foot or walking foot would be required. Sadly, it does not come with a walking foot. The weight of the thread used is unknown, but it should be 100% cotton or poly/cotton normal thread. Additionally, a foot pedal is included. Although it can be useful for some sewing needs, reviewers have expressed anger, disappointment, and frustration with this product on multiple occasions. Some have received incomplete orders, with missing pieces and/or tools, while others demand an enhanced instruction manual.
