Question:
How hard is it to trim these down? I need a length of 440 mm and would probably be getting a 450 and trimming 5 mm off each end. what tool would be?
Answer: An angle head grinder and thin abrasive wheel will go through it just fine. Dip it in water if it gets too hot. Completely tape the carriage to keep out dust. (Don’t take it off.) -

What size t nuts do you use?
Answer: Hi, M3 t nuts and hex screws are suitable. -
Question:
Are the holes in the carriage threaded?
Answer: The holes in the carriage are tapped 3MM. The rail holes are drilled and counterbored for 3MM sockethead cap screws. -
Question:
Are these bearing blocks pre-loaded?
Answer: Yes. Only thing i recommend doing is to clean well (i used a automotive part cleaner spray solvent) and lubricate properly when you get them. Mine are still performing flawlessly. -
Question:
Can you provide a 3d model of this product or a cad drawing for inclusion in a mechanical design?
Answer: Hiwin has equivalent CAD models on their website. -
Question:
Is it HiWin brand?
Answer: It is not made by HiWin. I am using this for a floating Z axis for a plasma CNC, and it works well. -

Do these have a functional grease port?
Answer: They do not have a grease port. Neither do my genuine HIWIN MGN12 sets. -

Is the carriage a ball bearing type?
Answer: The diameter of the ball bearings is about 2.35-2.41mm
