It is recommended for use in a PC tower with a 3.5" bay and could fit nicely into a Drobo if you want to install a 2.5" SSD. The mount does not have holes through the bottom for using it as a 3.5" bay's bottom holes. It may not fit 15mm hard drives such as the Seagate 5TB drive. The product worked well in HP dc7800 small form factor business computers, but it is unknown if it will fit a Mac computer.
