The meter has a flexible range of stimulus frequencies with a selection of included accessories for leaded and surfaced-mounted components. One major design flaw of the device is the 9V battery compartment which does not have traditional polarized connectors and can easily cause damage to the unit if the battery is inserted incorrectly. The official DC adapter is not readily available to purchase and is expensive compared to the cost of the device. A simple protective circuit on the measurement terminals is needed as cheap insurance to prevent chips from getting fried. Despite these observations, the meter has fantastic functionality with accurate outputs and delivers on its promises.
