Answer: There is some arch support, but since I have fussy feet, I also put my own 3/4 foam supports in. The shoe fits more snugly, but is still quite comfortable. The insole is padded, but not removable. -

What widths do size 9 1/2 come in?
Answer: The ones I have are medium. I have a narrow heel and I can tie my sneaker tighter to get the heel support. I need the width in the toes. -

I wear a size 8 in Cole Haan, what size would I be in Ecco?
Answer: I wear an Ecco size US size 7 7/12, EU 38. Many of my other brands of shoes are 7 1/2 to 8. I hear that Ecco runs a bit large—I have a decent amount of end-of-the-toe space as well. Hope that helps in your decision-making.
