Drama Editorial Review
Bitter Moon Special Edition [Blu-ray] Bitter Moon is a psycho-sexual thriller directed by Roman Polanski. The all-star cast, including Hugh Grant and Peter Coyote, delivers a powerful performance in this twisted and dark love story. The movie tells the story of a couple, Nigel (Hugh Grant) and Fiona (Kristin Scott Thomas), who meet on a ship to Istanbul and become involved with a wheelchair-bound American writer, Oscar (Peter Coyote) and his wife, Mimi (Emmanuelle Seigner). The relationships between the four prove to be more complex and sinister than they first appear, leading to a shocking and unexpected ending. Customer feedback is mixed, with some reviewers calling it a "masterpiece" and a "must-see" for those interested in serious depictions of adult relationships. Many were impressed by the strong performances of the cast, particularly Peter Coyote. However, others found it disappointing and not what they expected, while a few complained about a version that wasn't the correct length. Overall, Bitter Moon Special Edition [Blu-ray] is a movie for those who appreciate psychological thrillers that explore the dark corners of human relationships, with strong performances from the cast.
