Is the custom gauge set for the silk and phosphorus strings or silk and steel? The selection (custom) and picture are of 2 different products.
Answer: The Silk and Steel are a nickel plated string- softer to the touch. The silk and phosphorus sound more like a acoustic. The nickel you will loose some volume. More like a electric string -
Question:
Real silk from silkworms? Or a synthetic nylon or poly-blend?
Answer: I don’t know. All you see is the metal wire strings. Contact Martin. These are not the ones with the silk ends to protect the bridge that Martin sells, where you can see the silk or whatever material on the ends.
