Online co-op is available, but it works differently from normal co-op. It is a very challenging game and not for the easily frustrated, but it has been recommended by many players. Although the PvP experience has been lacking for some. The game's essence is very similar to Bloodborne and Demons Souls. The story concentrates more on the journey than the bosses which has been described to "totally works". If someone did not like Dark Souls 1, they will not like this game either. The game commonly receives negative reviews, but those who try with an open mind have a surprisingly good experience.
