The oil filter for 2014-2016 X5 and X6 models is made of high-quality materials and comes with an o-ring and crush washer. However, removing the old filter can be a challenge, as it tends to stick to the cap. Using a flathead screwdriver or a similar tool is recommended. The new filter should be installed in the engine housing, centered, and then hand-screwed before tightening with a socket wrench.
