Can I use over painted concrete?
Answer: It will be fine for interior use over concrete but not Exterior. If you need Exterior exposure, then our CrabCoat Marine Finish is what I would recommend. -
Question:
Can I use on painted kitchen countertops?
Answer: Yes. It’s very durable and water resistant. Just remember to use gently for the first 30 days as it cures. -
Question:
Would this work as a top coat over acrylic paintings (canvas & wood panels)?
Answer: This will work if used in very thin layers. If you want more build, I would suggest Brite Tone. It leaves more of a film as it’s a higher solids finish. -
Question:
Is it non toxic and is it water proof?
Answer: Yes. -
Question:
Can I use this over Annie Sloan chalk paint without yellowing over time?
Answer: Yes. -
Question:
Can I use this to seal a Starbucks Cup?
Answer: Yes you can but it would take several more layers. What you will want to use is Brite Tone instead. You will get a much shinier finish with less coats. If you are adding glitter you can use this to adhere the glitter and save some money and then finish off with Brite Tone. -
Question:
What size would you recommend for 3 coats on 50 square feet?
Answer: You may get by with a quart. A gallon will cover 400 to 500 sq ft. -
Question:
Can you use this product in the house with small children? Also can this be used for coasters and alcohol ink?
Answer: You can use it indoors and around kids. It’s fine for coasters but not compatible with alcohol inks. Brite Tone Instrument Finish will build quicker than the Extreme Protection as it has much higher solids. -
Question:
I have stained fiberglass front exterior doors. will your crysta lac crab coat work for my application?
Answer: CrabCoat will work great to seal fiberglass. If using an oil based stain, it will need to be completely dried out and cured before using CC on it.
