The Honeywell RTH9585WF1004/W Wi-Fi Smart Color Programmable Thermostat, V. 2.0 is a newly launched thermostat with a slightly different user interface than the RTH9580WF. One of the additional features is the temporary schedule changes. The temporary schedule changes allow you to adjust the Wake, Leave, Return or Sleep periods based on special requirements such as when you wish to activate the return period earlier than usual or to delay the sleep period. The thermostat has easy configuration options, and it can be locked to prevent guests from tampering with the settings. It also features an auto changeover feature where the thermostat automatically selects heating or cooling depending on the indoor temperature. It displays outside temperature and humidity from local weather conditions over the internet, not sensors at your house. The thermostat requires a cloud account as data is sent to the cloud, and the device is controlled remotely only over the cloud, not from the local network. However, the GUI appears to have been rushed, and the touchscreen isn't very responsive. Some customers have reported frustrating experiences with customer service, where their warranty claims were not honoured, and some had to continue resetting the unit continually, rendering it inoperable.
