The large 42mm objective lens collects a large amount of light for a bright image and the 10x magnification power means you can get up close and personal to anything in your field of view.Schott Extra Low Dispersion (ED) GlassThe material used in the manufacturing of the lens elements is a special extra low-dispersion glass that corrects chromatic aberrations. These aberrations can cause discoloration in the image you see through the eyepiece as well as reduced contrast and blurring around the edges of the viewing field. Because the Schott glass lenses reduce or even eliminate these distortions, you’ll get much clearer images across the entire visual field.Multi-Coated Glass ElementsTo further enhance image quality, the optical elements and Schmidt-Pechan prisms in these binoculars have been treated with a multi-coating to improve light transmission. More light means higher contrast images and more vibrant color reproduction.
