Installation is a breeze and can be done with just a Phillips screwdriver and 20 minutes of your time. No cutting or soldering required! Simply plug everything into place as the original pieces do, and you're ready to go.
Not only does this upgrade provide a drastic decrease in fan noise, but it also fits perfectly with the network adapter. The electrical fan harness allows for easy plug-and-play installation into the fan port of your PlayStation 2. Please note that this fan upgrade is compatible with most SCPH-30000 and SCPH-50000 series, including SCPH-30001 (8 screws on the bottom), SCPH-30001 R, SCPH-35001, SCPH-39001, and SCPH-50001. It is not compatible with SCPH-50001 without the network/hard drive adapter, although we are currently working on a fix for this issue.
It does fit when installed in combination with the network/hard drive adapter. Also, ensure that the rear fan panel is removable and not a single bottom housing piece before purchasing.
