The Vickerman Revolving Christmas Tree Stand is designed to be used with an artificial tree with a small, metal central shaft. It rotates one way so far and then back. The music is preprogrammed, it varies and you can have the tree rotate without the music. The device is easy to set up, and the music feature is nice. However, the stand is not very sturdy in holding tree, rotates too quickly and is loud motor noises and clicking when it stops and starts back the opposite direction. Some reviewers have also had issues with the device breaking after a short amount of time.
