Answer: Nope. It’s a cloth. It is not rigid. It’s thick enough the sand won’t come through or wear holes in it. But people will still know they are walking on sand. -

What is the puncture resistance in pounds and grab tensile in pounds?
Answer: Difficult to puncture, except with landscaping nails it can be punctured -

Can you use this for horses, as in a paddock or corral?
Answer: It depends on what your objective is. If your plan is to hold down weeds with the cloth and some kind of permanent cover, then yes. But if the area is to be routinely mucked out by skid loader or tractor, you will run into problems, especially with a skid loader. Also, the material is available in greater widths that may serve your purpose much better. The reason I say that is because I've found that the fewer joints, the better the performance. -
Question:
How quickly will water pass through the 6 ounce fabric?
Answer: I have no way of giving an objective measurement. I used the fabric to line and cover two large french drains, and it performed quite well during a very heavy prolonged rain storm. But I cannot give you an objective measurement, just a guess. One drain is located in a bowl shaped area of my yard, which acts like a miniature holding pond, which when it overflow, the runoff goes into a lake in front of our property. The holding pond when getting to the overflow point may hold as much or more than 150 gallons. It got to that point during the previously mentioned storm, but was drained completely within ten minutes after the rain stopped. Another factor is, our soil is very sandy to begin with, but the fabric clearly did not impair the absorption of water.
