The GeeekPi Raspberry Pi UPS V5 Power Supply is an uninterruptible power supply HAT that comes equipped with a 18650 battery charger, power bank, power management expansion board, and 5V support for Raspberry Pi 4B3B3B2BBBAA. This UPS board can be powered through USB and can be used without the Raspberry Pi. Its USB output can also be used to power the Raspberry Pi. On the downside, this product suffers from battery compatibility issues as not all 18650 batteries will fit, and a protected top 18650 battery will not work as it is too big. The batteries charge and hold at about 100% SoC (4.2-4.3 volts) when plugged in (UPS mode), and it seems that even though the address is advertised as read/write, it's really just a read of the highest voltage seen. This means that the user cannot set the maximum voltage for charging. The GeeekPi Raspberry Pi UPS V5 Power Supply has some useful features, such as automatic shutdown and automatic power-on during blackouts. However, its automatic UPS shutdown count does not work as expected when charging (even in the latest firmware). Overall, the GeeekPi Raspberry Pi UPS V5 Power Supply has some valuable features but suffers from some drawbacks as well.
