The Astromania 1.25" Narrowband NBPF Hydrogen-a 12nm Filter is a narrowband optical filter used for deep sky, long exposure photography, primarily for capturing H-alpha nebula photos. The filter can be used with a modded DSLR or a color imager camera without the IR/UV cut filter. The filter threads onto a zwo m42 2" filter drawer holder and has a thickness that may make it unusable in some filter drawers and filter wheels. It should not be used for solar observing or imaging. Customer reviews are mixed, with some reporting excellent performance in light-polluted skies, while others experienced halos around stars and washed-out images.
