The Walter Products B10202 Human Skeleton Model is a half-size model mounted on a base and stands at a height of 33 inches or 84 centimetres. It is an ideal product for students of anatomy, kinesiology, radiology, and other related fields, who require a study aid for their classes or examinations. While the skeleton does not come with a guide or names of the bones, it has enough detail for a medical or radiology student to identify every bump and indent. However, the spine is fairly rigid, and each vertebrae is a separate piece with a pliable "disc" between them, which allows for slight spinal flexion but not enough to demonstrate flexion/extension. Assembling the skeleton is not too challenging, and the head, arms, and legs can all be attached with some dexterity. The skeleton's entire body can be detached from the base with ease, and the hip flexion/extension is not obstructed by the rod or base. As for the Cons, one customer mentioned that some bones were not articulated correctly, and another received the model with some pieces broken and missing. Some customers found the wrists and feet not to extend well, which may pose problems precisely to students who require detailed study aids. Also, the skeleton's plastic screwed hinge limits femur articulation and cannot seat the head of the femur entirely in the acetabulum. Overall, The Walter Products B10202 Human Skeleton Model is an easy-to-assemble and affordable study aid for students of anatomy, kinesiology, radiology, and related fields. The skeleton has enough detail to identify all significant bone markings though some parts do not articulate as well as desired.
