Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question:
What vehicles are compatible with the RockTrix RT105 17 inch Wheels?
Answer: The RockTrix RT105 17 inch Wheels are specifically designed for the Jeep Wrangler JK and JL models. These wheels feature a 17x9 size with a 5x5 bolt pattern, which is ideal for these Jeep models. Additionally, they may also fit on other vehicles that share a similar bolt pattern and specifications, which makes them versatile for Jeep enthusiasts wanting to enhance their vehicle's aesthetic and performance. -
Question:
What is the offset and backspace of the RockTrix RT105 wheels?
Answer: The RockTrix RT105 wheels have a 12mm offset and a backspace of 5.5 inches. This combination is important for ensuring proper clearance between the wheel and the vehicle’s suspension components, enhancing stability and handling. The offset determines how far the wheel sits from the hub, impacting the vehicle’s track width and performance, making it ideal for off-road adventures. -
Question:
What are the advantages of using bronze wheels like the RockTrix RT105?
Answer: Choosing bronze wheels like the RockTrix RT105 not only adds a distinct aesthetic appeal to your Jeep but also provides some practical advantages. Bronze finishes can resist scratches and damage better than standard finishes, making them suitable for off-road use. Furthermore, the warm hues can complement various Jeep colors, enhancing the overall look and allowing for customization. -
Question:
How does wheel backspacing affect my Jeep's performance?
Answer: Wheel backspacing is crucial as it affects the positioning of the wheel relative to the suspension and the fender. The RockTrix RT105's 5.5 inches of backspacing keeps the wheels tucked within the wheel wells, which can improve aerodynamics and reduce the risk of tire rub during articulation. This feature is particularly useful for off-road conditions where wheel flexibility is needed. -
Question:
Do I need to modify my Jeep for the RockTrix RT105 wheels?
Answer: In most cases, the RockTrix RT105 wheels can be installed without extensive modifications, thanks to their specifications tailored for the Jeep Wrangler JK and JL. However, some modifications might be necessary if you opt for larger tires or have specific aftermarket components on your Jeep. Always consult a professional for advice customized to your vehicle's setup. -
Question:
What is the bore size of the RockTrix RT105 wheels?
Answer: The RockTrix RT105 wheels feature a bore size of 71.5mm. This size is essential for a proper fit to the hub of your Jeep, ensuring stability and reducing vibrations. A correct bore size prevents the wheel from wobbling and contributes to the overall performance and longevity of your vehicle’s wheel setup. -
Question:
Can I use different tires with the RockTrix RT105 wheels?
Answer: Yes, the RockTrix RT105 wheels can accommodate a variety of tire sizes, allowing you to customize your Jeep's look and performance. It is essential to choose tires that are compatible with the wheel's size and offset, ensuring the best handling and grip for your intended driving conditions, whether on the highway or off-road. -
Question:
What finishes are available for the RockTrix RT105 wheels?
Answer: The RockTrix RT105 wheels primarily feature a bronze finish, which adds a unique flair to your Jeep while enhancing durability. This finish is known for its toughness and resistance to corrosion, making it perfect for all driving conditions. While bronze is the main offering, you should check for any special editions or additional finishes that may be released. -
Question:
How do I properly care for my RockTrix RT105 wheels?
Answer: Proper care for your RockTrix RT105 wheels includes regular cleaning with mild soap and water to remove dirt and brake dust. Avoid harsh chemicals that may damage the finish.
