Prothane Transmission & Parts Editorial Review
**** The PROTHANE 1-1601 Red Transmission Mount Kit for TJ has garnered an array of customer feedback reflecting both its strengths and weaknesses. Many users praise the mount for its solid Construction and effective performance, particularly in off-road conditions. The Consensus is that for those who commonly drive their vehicles off the beaten path, this transmission mount provides significant improvements in drivetrain effectiveness, reducing unnecessary movement and rattle that was prevalent with stock mounts. Customers highlighted the noticeable reduction in noise and vibrations when under load, showcasing its potential to enhance driving experience, especially in off-road settings. Installation seems to be straightforward for most, with several users reporting a perfect fit and quality craftsmanship, enhancing the overall feel of the vehicle's driveline. However, the mount isn't without its downsides. A recurrent theme in the reviews is that while it excels in performance for off-road use, it can transmit noise and vibrations into the cabin when used as the primary mount for street vehicles. This indicates that while it is well-suited for rugged terrain, the vibrating nature of the material may be less desirable for those prioritizing comfort in daily driving. A few users had to modify the mount to accommodate custom builds, suggesting that while it fits standard configurations well, there may be challenges with non-stock setups. Overall, the PROTHANE 1-1601 demonstrates itself as a reliable and high-quality option for off-road enthusiasts, but potential buyers should weigh the trade-offs in terms of vibration control when used for street driving. **
