The Milton S-449 Valve Insertion Tool is a helpful tool for removing and inserting valve stems on tires. It is made in China and has a cheap import feel, which may not be as durable as tools made in the USA. However, it is still better to use the tool than other methods such as pliers. The tool is easy to use, but the tire must be demounted first, and the old valve stem must be removed by screwing the tool onto the thread and prying over the edge of the wheel rim. Then, the new valve can be inserted through the hole in the wheel and screwed onto the tool. The tool is then used to carefully pry against the edge of the wheel to pull the new valve into place.
