Although there have been no extension sets available, the game has more moving parts than the Forbidden Island, and it is the logical next step up for fans of that game. The more players involved, the tougher the game becomes, and it can also be played solitaire by just playing the role of two or more players. Retailing at $24.99, Forbidden Desert is more challenging than Forbidden Island, but players tend to win from time to time, and the game can be played multiple times.
