It is an ideal choice for those who want to try homemade pasta, and it makes the task so much easier that it can save you up to 70% of preparation time. With the motor, it's an upgrade from the hand crank, allowing you to work with longer sheets of pasta as you can use both hands. However, the motor support mount is not well built and might move around during use. The thickness setting knob is also not smooth, which could be frustrating. It takes time and patience to figure out how to put it together, but once you get the hang of it, it works well. Aside from pasta, it cannot make gnocchi, pizza dough, croissant dough, or tarts dough. The sheets produced by the pasta maker are 5-1/2" wide, and there is only a knob on the left side as a thickness setting. Also keep in mind that it is a laminator only and doesn't come with any extra parts.
