Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question:
What is the Bindon Aiming Concept?
Answer: It is a method of aiming that involves keeping both eyes open while shooting. -
Question:
What kind of reticle does the ACOG have?
Answer: It has a tritium/fiber optic illuminated reticle that adjusts brightness based on available light. -
Question:
What is the maximum range for bullet drop compensation?
Answer: The red Chevron ranging reticle allows for bullet drop compensation out to 800 meters for 5.56 (.223 cal) -
Question:
Will this work for Ash and Jäger?
Answer: Ash yes, Jager no. The Acog can be used for Doc though! -
Question:
Will this work on a semi auto 308? sig 716
Answer: No. This optic is calibrated for the drop of a 223/556 bullet. The distance and drop would be off for a 308. You should find a different acog that is calibrated for 308 -
Question:
Is this fake if it says made in armenia?
Answer: Bought mine, didn’t realize it said armenia for origin. Called trijicon and confirmed my sn was legit. -
Question:
Do these Acogs have adjustments for reticle clarity as well the target?
Answer: No, just for windage and elevation. -
Question:
Is this a real trijicon acog ta31f?
Answer: The best way to tell is to verify it with trijicon and refine it if it’s fake -
Question:
will it mount directly to the handle? and if so, can you still use the iron sight?
Answer: You can mount it to handle if you take off the base. you’d need a screw though I think to put on carry handle. Should be able to see through the sight base tunnel for sight -
Question:
Will this mount onto a sight post/ carry handle, or do i need to buy the mount screw separately?
Answer: Yes there are 2 screws under the mount to remove it for that purpose
Trijicon Rifle Scopes Editorial Review
The Trijicon ACOG is a legitimate product that is great for use with a 223/556 bullet, which should not be used with a 308. The optic does not have adjustments for the reticle, only windage and elevation. It can mount directly to the handle, and the sight base tunnel should still be visible. The optic is genuine and produced in the USA, but some customers have received fake products, so caution is recommended. Reviewers have found it to be expensive but worth the money, with great clarity, bright reticules, and accurate rangefinder etchings. Eye relief can be an issue, but the optic lasts for years and is reliable.
