Can I use this to control a forced air furnace using the remote redlink thermostat?
Answer: The THM4000R1000 you are referring to is used to provide wireless connectivity for the HZ432 or 332 True Zone Panel or extend the range of Equipment Interface Modules THM 5421R1021 or THM 5320R1000 only. It does not have wiring for the furnace. To use wireless thermostats for your system and wiring to the furnace, the THM5421R1021 Equipment Interface Module is used with the Prestige IAQ and VisionPro8000 series thermostats. The THM5320R1000 Equipment Interface Module is used with the FocusPro 6000 series thermostats. Either module will control the system. Either module is also compatible with the THM6000R1002 Internet Gateway, for remote control via a smart phone. (Download the free app from Honeywell)If you have a zoned system with multiple dampers and thermostats, you will need the True Zone HZ432 or 332 zone control with redlink and a THM4000R1000 with the Prestige IAQ or VisionPro 8000 thermostats. It is also compatible with the Internet Gateway. On a zoned system that does not have a redlink zone control, either Equipment Interface Module will control one thermostat. You would then need an additional module for each additional thermostat. The THM4000R1000 will control up to four wireless thermostats on a zoned system.The modules are mounted next to the furnace in any case. If at all possible, wire any wireless redlink thermostat replacing an old thermostat with two existing wires supplying 24 volts from the system. (R and C) Even though the thermostats have batteries, they will be depleted rapidly (Usually less than a year) without a 24 volt source. If the wireless thermostats are being installed in a new location without existing wiring, then just batteries is acceptable. -
Question:
Does this adapter have a cover?
Answer: The unit is exactly as pictured. There isn't a removable cover. It mounts with the screw holes at the top and bottom. The four wires connect to the push-in terminals on the right side. (Only use solid conductor thermostat wire, stranded won't go into the terminals). It gets mounted next to the True Steam humidifier or Zone Controller. -

Can this be connected to the redlink internet gateway? i have 2 th6320r 1004 thermostats i need to control remotely...
Answer: Yes, it is part of the redlink system according to what I have read. We did not do that however. -
Question:
Can this be used side by side with other wired honeywell thermostats? I plan to use 2 wired thermostats (connected to HZ432) and 2 wireless ones
Answer: The THM4000R1000 will only communicate with Honeywell Redlink thermostats. It will only transmit data from a Redlink thermostat configured for wireless to the True Zone controller. You may also use hardwired thermostats connected to the zone controller. In the setup for the thermostat and the controller, you are prompted whether the thermostat for each zone is RF (wireless) or wired. The only wired connections on the THM4000R1000 are to the TrueZone controller. They are 24vac and data in/out. The THM4000R1000 is good for up to 4 wireless thermostats. If you have more than 4 zones, you need the zone expander control and an additional THM4000. You do not need a wireless interface. The THM4000 does it. -
Question:
What is the operating distance between the module and the thermostat?
Answer: The Honeywell Red Link wireless system is a robust network and we have had zero issues with connecting devices. The Wi-Fi interface module does not stipulate distance however we have had devices 50+ feet from the panel with no issues. If there are connection problems the device will tell you and you'll need to move to a location that will connect. (Read device installation manual). Again, we have had no issues with connecting devices. If you run into issues that cannot be resolved call a professional as these units are typically NOT DIY. Hope this helps. -

Can this be used with the HZ311?
Answer: Yes it is comparable. Any Honeywell device that has RedLink connectivity will work together. The HZ311 is RedLink enabled. -
Question:
How many thermostat can you use with this wireless adapter
Answer: The wireless adapter is the interface between the thermostats and the zone controller. The zone controller is limited by design as to how many thermostats or zones it can support. If it is wired to a HZ322 it is 3 zones/thermostats or if wired to a HZ432, it is 4 zones/thermostats. It can also be used to link any RedLink device such as outdoor sensors, True Steam humidifier and Portable Comfort Control. -

Is this compatible with the rth9585wf1004 thermostat?
Answer: The THM4000R is a Red Link wireless adapter. The RTH 9585wf is not Ted Link compatible it is a wifi thermostat. You will need a Red Link thermostat such as the Vision Pro 8000R series or the 9421R Prestige. It must have the R in the model number. If you want remote smart phone control with your system you will need the THM4000R and a Red Link thermostat along with the Honeywell internet gateway THM6000R7001. That device connects to your router and you download the app. It is free to use. No monthly charges. You can connect up to 4 Red Link thermostats to a gateway. It links the thermostats to the gateway by Red Link wireless. -
Question:
With this will the hz432 show on my phone the data on the hz432 ie DAT?
Answer: No. It is not wi-fi. It is to connect other wireless devices(thermostats or outside thermometer) to the equipment interface monitor or 4 zone controller.
