The Madison M8750 Liquid Level Sensor is a side mount float switch made of polypropylene. It has a 1/2" NPT fitting that can be mounted into the side wall of a tank or container. The switch can be reversed or turned 180 degrees to change its operation from normally off to normally on. According to the FAQ, this sensor is not recommended for use with gasoline or diesel fuels. For petroleum-based liquids, Madison Co recommends their Model # M7750 Side Mount Float Switch made of PBT material. The travel distance for the float is .56" (14.2mm) up and .60" (15.2mm) down from the center. The polypropylene material is Considered food grade and can be used in a hydroponics reservoir.
