Essays Editorial Review
The "On Painting Classics S" paperback is a book that offers a compilation of thoughts on painting by a master from the 15th century. It is often described as the first description of perspective in art and provides valuable insights into the basics of perspective, composition, and the interplay between light and dark. One of the standout features of this book is its historical significance. The author includes examples from his own time period, giving readers a glimpse into the historical frame of mind of the master painter. This aspect makes the book not only valuable for artists but also for history enthusiasts. Another positive aspect of the book is its readability. Readers have found the content to be easily understood, with fair-sized readings that are perfect for an art theory class. The clear fonts used in the book have also been appreciated, making for a pleasant reading experience. However, there have been some concerns regarding the manufacturing quality of this book. Several customers have reported torn pages, indicating poor quality checking during production. It seems that something on the press is causing abrasions, which is disappointing Considering Penguin's usually high standards. Despite the manufacturing issues, the content of the book has received praise for its excellence. Many customers have found the book to be exactly what they were looking for and have expressed satisfaction with its overall condition. Overall, the "On Painting Classics S" paperback offers a valuable insight into the world of painting from the perspective of a master from the 15th century. It is a quick, satisfying read that is highly recommended for both artists and history enthusiasts.
