The MotorGuide X3 Bow Mount Hand-Control 940200200 is a great trolling motor for those looking for an affordable yet well-performing option. It has a 50" shaft and a 45-pound thrust which can be powered by a 12-volt battery connection. The mount opens up to 180 degrees making it versatile to use, but it's important to note that the 45 lb thrust model is not recommended for brackish water. The installation process is easy to follow, but the motor can be a little heavy, making it difficult to deploy and return to its storage position. It's a fair value for the money and works best on smaller boats. Unfortunately, there are some issues with quality control, including missing parts upon delivery, and breakage within a few months of use. One customer had issues with a magnet coming loose due to not enough soldering or poor quality, while another had an issue with the electric/speed control breaking soon after a few uses. Other customers received the wrong product or missing parts upon delivery, which caused some disappointment. Overall, this trolling motor is best for those who are on a budget and have smaller boats.
