Aguéiev, el manuscrito de Novela con cocaína.La paternidad de la novela, que llegó a ser atribuida a Nabókov y que no sería definitivamente esclarecida hasta 1994, fue desde entonces un enigma. Pero el revuelo estaba justificado por la extraordinaria originalidad de la obra, una narración en forma autobiográfica, ambientada en Moscú en vísperas de la Revolución, de un joven impelido por «el deseo de conferir a mi personalidad un carácter singular», desde sus últimos años en el Instituto hasta su reclusión en el solitario universo de «desdoblamientos» de la cocaína.Osada, profunda e incómoda, con una visión del mundo que supone un insulto a nuestra noción más luminosa, tierna y pura, esto es, «el alma humana», ésta es una novela imprescindible del siglo XX, por primera vez presentada en traducción directa del ruso.
